Tara Kevin, P.T.A., A.T.C., Ed.M., I.T.A.T., has been treating patients and athletes in both the collegiate and outpatient physical therapy settings for more than 19 years. She received both her associate’s degree in physical therapy assistance and her bachelor of science degree in athletic training from Endicott College, where she returned to work as a certified athletic trainer with 19 varsity athletics programs and taught in a CAAHEP-accredited AT program after completing her master’s in education at Boston University in 2000. Tara has vast experience with orthopedic, sports-, and work-related injuries and is also interested in treating sports-related concussions. She recently completed training to become ITAT certified by ImPACT, which involved specific continuing education including the latest research and treatment options available. She is active in implementing ImPACT testing and post-concussion specific rehabilitation at Physical Therapy North as part of a defined multistage return to play program in compliance with MIAA requirements. She is also involved in organizing Sports Medicine North NATA-BOC lecture series, which provides continuing education opportunities for certified athletic trainers.
